Data Engineer Contractor

A company is looking for an Independent Contractor, Data Engineer, Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain a scalable Databricks lakehouse for business operations data

Design and implement automated ELT / ETL pipelines and create a core semantic layer for self-serve analytics

Collaborate with various departments to define source-of-truth metrics and ensure data governance compliance

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering

Expertise in Databricks (Delta Lake, SQL, PySpark) and cloud data platforms (AWS or Azure)

Proficiency in dbt and / or Delta Live Tables, with strong SQL and data modeling skills

Experience with job orchestration tools like Airflow or Databricks Workflows

Familiarity with data governance and healthcare-adjacent compliance standards is a plus
