Purpose of Job :
This role will set the vision and strategy, work with cross-functional team members, and will develop, deliver, and own programs and tools that result in a more successful and productive training and onboarding experience. This position is responsible for building a sustainable learning curriculum that enhances the process on how the local sales team will exceed goals and objectives. This role reports to the Director, Sales Center of Excellence and will be an integral part of the Sales organization.
Job Components :
- Direct responsibility for the strategy, development, and measurement of sales academy programs (always-onboarding and continuous learning)
- Partners with all stakeholders (Local Sales, Sales Enablement, recruiting, HR, etc.) to deliver on employee enablement initiatives and operations
- Uses people-related data to drive better decision making and develop key metrics to review the effectiveness of onboarding and training investments and programs
- Creates and facilitates a highly engaging (and fun!) learning environment utilizing technologies as well as case studies, simulations, role plays, and other interactive methods. Manage the sales academy content repository, ensuring that all information is easily and readily accessible and the team knows where to find resources.
- Makes recommendations on program changes and conduct cost / benefit analysis of potential improvements; gathers feedback and continues to tailor and refine curriculum based on business and sales needs
- Builds out repeatable best practices to facilitate the scaling of our organization
- Establishes and promotes the master plan and calendar for academy activities throughout the year. Drives execution of the various onboarding and always-onboarding initiatives and programs in assigned geos.
- Facilitates training delivery via tools and channels (e.g. face to face, webinars, videos, etc.)
- Implements Salesforce user program : responsible for increasing Salesforce engagement across the Sales team, executives and cross-functional groups using a variety of strategies (e.g. recognition programs, leaderboards, gamification, etc.)
- Creates internal employee research surveys, focus groups, to better understand and assess pain points
- Identifies strong external vendors in the marketplace, establishes relationships with them, and deploy them as needed to drive win-win solutions for customers and the department.
Qualifications :
5+ years of Sales Training and Enablement, Direct Field Sales and Field Sales Management experience and proven track record required (quota carrying)Experience in developing and managing Sales competency models and Learning paths for sales roles.Strong technological skills to manage disparate enablement systems (CRM, Gamification, Courseware, Testing, etc.)Bachelor's degree is preferredKnowledge of maintaining curriculum in Learning Management SystemHas experience creating and implementing successful sales and coaching process / methodology / sales playbook initiatives and building effective field sales on-boarding and sales training programs and scaling the enablement function in an organization to align with the company's growth.Excellent communications skills including, presenting, editing, and writing as well as accuracy and attention to detail required.You will also need to understand business strategy, personas, and sales and marketing strengths and weaknesses. You should be able to take high level sales strategy and implement tactics to continually improve sales performance.A fast-thinking, high-energy individual with a sense of humor and ability to work with a wide range of personalities will thrive in this roleWork Environment :
