Manufacturing Supervisor- 3rd Shift

Overview

Manufacturing Supervisor- 3rd Shift at Land O\'Lakes, Inc. The role oversees the Cheese and Drying departments on the 3rd shift, providing leadership to hourly employees and coordinating with plant and corporate management to produce high-quality finished products on schedule in a safe and efficient manner.

Training and development of people is key. You will gather input for performance reviews and actively coach / mentor employees to reach their optimum potential, making corrections as needed in coordination with Production Leads and Trainers. You will also take an active leadership role in promoting diversity and inclusion. We focus on continuous improvement in cost, quality, service, people, and environment through efficient use of materials, equipment, and resources. You will share best practices within the facility, across the supply chain, and with external resources to achieve leading-edge manufacturing and supply chain technologies. This is a team-oriented role partnering with plant Management, Quality, Maintenance, Human Resources, Scheduling and Logistics.

Work Schedule : Cheese Crew 11 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am (must be available to work on all shifts).

Responsibilities

• Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Morale at the Kiel facility.
• Root cause / corrective action investigations for unplanned events.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs and the Food Safety Plan.
• Communicate and coordinate with supervisors and functions to optimize operations and resources.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production schedules to meet and exceed customer requirements and business goals.
• Understand the financial impact of Line Efficiency, Material Yield, and Labor Productivity on plant budgets and develop action plans to address gaps.
• Take active leadership role in promoting diversity and inclusion.

Salary Range

$69,040 - $103,560. In most cases, offers are made near the middle of the salary range.
