Responsible for managing, controlling, and recording drug, fluid and supply inventory while managing cost effective shelf inventory. Under general supervision of the Pharmacist, the LPN Pharmacy provides general nursing care for patients following established standards and practices. Is responsible for intake and demographic entry and insurance verification for patients’ prescription drugs. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Qualifications : High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of five to seven years of experience in a healthcare setting is required. Pharmacy ordering is preferred. Oncology and admixture background highly desired. Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirements required. Completion of an ASHP and / or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board accredited program or college-based program preferred. Knowledge of procedures and systems to include filing requirements and record keeping required.
