American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital position, requiring BLS and a state license, with experience in diverse patient populations.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital setting with a primary inpatient focusProvide therapy services to medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology patient care areasMonday through Friday schedule, 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm, with start time flexibility up to 8 : 00amOne weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required every four weeks, with a weekday off during the applicable weekEPIC is used for documentation, and related experience is required for certain unitsFloating may occur within any therapy service line within the hospitalNo floating to sister facilities is requiredResponsibilities include assessment, documentation, patient and family education, and safety and injury preventionPosition involves floating within the scope of therapy service lines as neededScrub color is black or greyRole is open to first-time travelersNo on-call requiredUp to 7 days of requested time off permitted within a 13-week contract, with no time off the first weekPermanent employees must wait 1 year before being eligible to return as a travelerStandard travelers may stay up to 18 months with a required 3-month break after the assignmentTravelers will receive parking information during orientation, with paid parking options availableModules and orientation activities are completed pre-startFacial hair must allow for proper fit testing if required\n \n Requirements\n
Current state PT license required; license required if applicableBLS certification requiredAt least 1 year of recent acute care PT experience requiredExperience with a variety of patient populations including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology requiredStrong communication skills necessaryEPIC charting experience required for certain unitsMust reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility; local candidates not acceptedPending state license accepted for certain locations as permitted\n Benefits\n
