American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting with at least 1 year of acute care experience and a current state license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Primary inpatient acute care hospital position with therapy services across medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncologyWork schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, with flexible start time up to 8 : 00 AMRequired to work one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every four weeks with a compensatory day offCandidates may be utilized in any therapy service line and are expected to float within the hospital as needed, but not to sister facilitiesEPIC EMR is used throughout the facility; EPIC experience is required for certain unitsThis is a 13-week contract position at a short-term acute care teaching hospitalNo on-call shifts are requiredStart date restrictions and module completion will be discussed during the onboarding processRole focuses on assessments, documentation, patient and family education, as well as safety and injury preventionFirst-time travelers are accepted for this roleScrub color is black or greyParking is available for a monthly fee, with details provided during orientationPermanent former employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as a travelerTravelers may stay up to 18 months, requiring a 3-month break afterward; allied health travelers can stay up to 12 months with a 6-month break in serviceFit testing is required; facial hair policies must be followed for proper testing\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care physical therapy experience requiredCurrent state Physical Therapist license required (license required if applicable)Current BLS certification requiredExperience with a variety of patient populations including orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology preferredStrong communication skills and desire to work with diverse patient groupsEPIC charting experience required for certain unitsNo local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radiusCandidates with pending state license may be consideredNo more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no time off permitted during first week of assignment\n Benefits\n
