Staff Accountant

CFS is working with a well-established and growing nonprofit organization, whose mission is to provide care for underserved communities. As the organization expands, they are seeking a Senior Accountant who is eager to learn, grow and help drive their mission. This opportunity is in Jamaica, Queens and is onsite 5 days a week, located very close to public transportation. Our client offers a robust health benefits package as well as 4 weeks PTO.

Responsibilities of Staff Accountant :

• Prepare journal entries
• Conduct analysis of receivables
• Assist in Month End close activities, ensuring all expenses are recorded and posted correctly
• Gain exposure to payroll and payables processes, and assist with those functions as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to understand and support financial workflows
