In the role of Senior Transportation Construction Inspector , we'll count on you to :

• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, transit, rail, and environmental projects.
• Collaborate with other Inspectors, Construction Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers.
• Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed.
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed.
• Read and interpret construction plans, shop drawings, specifications and contract documents, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
• Track and maintain project materials documentation.
• Perform routine material testing on concrete, soils, and other materials as necessary.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed.
• Provide oversight to ensure quality control tasks are monitored and documented for contract compliance.
• Working outside during inclement weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as needed.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Baltimore, MD : $40.17 - $57.39 / hr.; Fulton, MD : $42.09 - $60.12 / hr.; Washington, DC : $45.91 - $65.59 / hr.
