A recognized healthcare system in the Bronx, NY is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Director of Labor Relations for a leadership opportunity.
About the Opportunity :
Schedule : Monday to Friday
Hours : 9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm
Responsibilities :
Lead labor relations strategy and execution across the organization.
Manage union negotiations and enforce collective bargaining agreements.
Oversee grievance and arbitration processes.
Advise leadership on labor law, disciplinary actions, and contract interpretation.
Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure policy alignment.
Deliver training and guidance to managers on labor relations and employee engagement.
Monitor legislative changes and adjust policies accordingly.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree required
10+ years of progressive experience in labor relations or human resources
Most recent 2 roles must be within the healthcare industry
Strong experience in union negotiations, grievance handling, and arbitration
Deep knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Great interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Desired Skills : Juris Doctor (JD)
