Physical activity may include reaching, walking, grasping, feeling, and talking, hearing and repetitive motion. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures. Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices. Lead 5S implementation as well as identify, design, and execute specific Kaizen events that drive continuous improvement Develop and implement work center / technician work instructions based on engineering design documentation Develop and implement standardized assembly processes to ensure repeatable outcomes Identify, design, and implement assembly fixtures / tooling and aids to improve both manufacturing efficiency and repeatability Supports design and / or fabrication of electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems, assemblies, and sub-assemblies Ability to work in a team environment. Assists in reviewing procedures to ensure that the test and repair process is complete Reviews and evaluates failure data received from field locations, and offers recommendations for resolutions Provides technical solutions to a board spectrum of difficult problems Works cross functionally with production technicians, engineering, quality, and organization leadership Supports briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal or external representatives concerning specifics to operations Performs other related tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field and 5 years professional experience or high school diploma and 9 years professional experience
- US Citizenship required
- Demonstratable experience implementing lean manufacturing principles and practices
- 6-Sigma Green Belt certification
- Understanding design to improve manufacturing systems or related processes to optimize the use of computer networks, robots, materials, and the automated aspects of manufacturing production, upgrades to facility layout, or changes to processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
- Familiar with AutoCad, Inventor, and / or other Cad type software
- Knowledge in aspects of design, development, and research
- Communicate effectively; both written and oral
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
