Valmont is seeking a strategic and tech-savvy Director of AI Products & Automation to lead our internal efforts in leveraging AI and automation to drive business transformation. This role is ideal for a product-oriented leader who can translate cross-functional needs into scalable, AI-powered solutions, while mentoring a team of specialists and working closely with stakeholders across departments.

The Director will lead discovery efforts with internal teams, define and prioritize use cases, shape product strategies, and oversee the development and deployment of automation and AI agents, including tools built on ChatGPT, Copilot, Power Automate, and other intelligent systems.

This is a pivotal leadership role in Valmont's AI transformation journey. You'll shape how our organization leverages AI not just as a toolbut as a strategic capability that drives smarter, faster, and more innovative operations.

Essential Functions :

• This role reports to the Chief AI Digital Transformation. This role will have at least one direct report.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional team focused on AI adoption and automation.
• Set priorities and ensure timely execution of development cycles in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Partner with business units to identify and validate high-impact problems suitable for automation or AI-driven solutions.
• Champion a user-centric approach, ensuring every solution addresses real-world pain points.
• Oversee solution design and delivery, balancing build vs. buy decisions.
• Ensure scalable and secure implementation using platforms like Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or custom agents.
• Establish KPIs to measure adoption, efficiency gains, and ROI of implemented solutions.
• Continuously refine AI strategies based on feedback, technological evolution, and business needs.
