A Day in the Life

The Finance Consultant role will drive Medtronic's long-range financial planning, lead market benchmarking and reporting, partner directly with Corporate Development on M&A and portfolio strategies, and play a critical role in our annual strategic planning process. You will analyze financial data, build financial models, and develop insights and recommendations to support executive leadership decisioning. This role requires partnership across the organization with various stakeholders, including senior management.

Key responsibilities of a strategic finance consultant include :

• Financial Analysis : Analyzing financial performance and identifying trends and insights
• Financial Modeling : Building financial models to support strategic decision-making, forecasting, and scenario analysis
• Market Analysis : Analyzing and reporting market and competitive performance across key therapies and segments
• Strategic Planning : Developing and implementing financial strategies to improve the companys financial performance and achieve targeted goals
• Portfolio Strategy : Partner with Corporate Development team to quantify impact of acquisitions and divestitures, including financial due diligence across the P&L and balance sheet
• Executive Communication : Preparing and developing key financials and materials for Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and other stakeholders
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partnering with strategy and finance stakeholders across businesses, functions, and regions
• Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive operational efficiency through automation and innovation

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $133,600.00 - $200,400.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification / education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
