Job Summary / Purpose :
- This position reports to the Client Safety and Health Supervisor
- Actively support Safety and Health programs by engaging with field personnel to promote compliance, reinforce best practices, and drive the overall success of safety initiatives.
- Serve as a visible safety leader in the field coaching and mentoring both employees and contractors to foster a strong safety culture.
- Interface with staff from all departments including Client employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Assist with implementation and execution of Client SSH&E programs in the field, for example, reviewing start work checks, encouraging last minute risk assessments, and leading toolbox talks, etc.
- Perform hazard identification walks and assist in resolution of findings.
- Conduct safety walks to address key areas of concern in the field.
- Participate in incident investigations when requested.
- Promote and administer site recognition and rewards programs.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Safety related role.Associate's degree or the equivalent field experience, in Occupational Safety and Health related field.OSHA 30 & OSHA 510 certification or better safety and health trainingExperience in lifting and rigging, crane operations, confined space, working at heights.Work permitting experience (elevated work, crane lifts, confined space, excavation, LOTO, etc.)Proficient in MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Organizational and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to speak comfortably to large group.Criteria / Conditions :
Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Requires the ability to walk extensively, climb stairs, and ladders throughout diverse work environments.Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work at Client facilities, including FRC, hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.Client promotes a drug / alcohol-free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as allowed by applicable state laws.TWIC is required.State issued driver's license and reliable transportation.TekWissen Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
