Senior Regional Facilities Facility Manager
This position provides managerial oversight of a portfolio of client facilities and leads a team of multiple Facilities Managers and Engineers. The Sr. Regional Facilities Manager has overall responsibility for the implementation of policies, procedures, and programs that will assure well-managed, well-maintained buildings and facilities. Emphasis is placed on the positive response to the requirements of the client, environmental health and safety, and quality programs. The position is the primary liaison with the client and leads team in the coordination of services, finance, vendor management, and staffing required to meet the needs of the facilities management.
Key competencies include communication proficiency, basic technical proficiency, problem solving / analysis, leadership, teamwork orientation, relationship management, and financial management.
Related requirements include any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to obtain knowledge and abilities would be a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification and 8-10 years of experience relevant to the local market and services. Experience in maintenance, construction, engineering, and all facets of property operation and building management is preferred. CMMS / Work Order Management experience is preferred. Certified Facility Manager (CFM), International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) industry certifications are recommended, other Engineering, Business, or technical training or certifications are a plus.
Most schedules work typical business hours based on location assigned. Based on client need, the role could be scheduled as the only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority / emergency situations (including overtime type assignments); may require shift work and / or on-call duties and overtime. Must be willing and able to support after-hours / weekends building-related activity as required. The role may be assigned and must be able to respond to client callbacks for regular repair and / or emergencies events.
