The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an AssociateStructural Engineer to join our team as a member of our Engineering and Design division. The Associate Engineer position is a mix of brains and brawn. They play the role of day-to-day project manager, ensuring project budget and quality targets are met. As a team leader, their technical expertise allows them to be a technical contributor as well as a mentor for junior staff. This position builds upon an engineer's technical expertise and adds project management responsibilities.

Because of our design, build, operate, and maintain (DBOM) process, McKinstry engineers concern themselves not just with the construction of a building, but how it will operate over its entire lifetime. Every design choice is made toward one goal - delivering high-performance buildings that ensure occupant comfort and safety, keep energy / operating costs low, maximize client profitability, and protect the environment. Responsibilities include :

Act as the project manager and lead / senior engineer on a wide array of projects.

Lead sales efforts with internal and external clients for engineering work, including developing engineering fees & writing proposals.

Manage staffing for slate of projects and coordinate with other associates for appropriate resources.

The pay range for this position is $111,420 - $177,650 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
