Position Overview : We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, compassionate, and passion-driven Immigration Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience in :
BondsDetained / Non-detained EOIR casesCase ManagingClient Consultations, Detainee Visitations, and Pre-screeningAssist with USCIS interviews (as needed)We require : Experience preparing filings, conduct hearings before EOIR, Drafting Motions, Applications, Pleadings, Supporting Documents, Representation in MC and Individual Hearings, all other EOIR Hearings focused on removal cases as (42A, 42B, 42B VAWA, Asylum, Withholding of Removal, CAT, AOS, SIJS, Waivers); witness and client preparation, Credible Fear / Reasonable Fear interviews, preparation and representation, Bonds : (filings and hearings, Initial and Redetermination), Paroles. Detainee visitations and Pre-screening.
SAPCR (experience is preferred)
Crimigration Experience is a plus
Provide legal services in the form of representation to potential clients and clients in the area of immigration. This includes the representation and preparation of immigration applications, removal proceedings, and bond representation, and assisting in outreach and community advocacy.
As a vital member of our team, you will develop prospective clients' case strategies and work directly with a paralegal to prepare and file pleadings, motions, applications, supporting documents, and any other required legal documents for an overall and personalized case representation for our clients.
Qualifications :
Texas Bar membershipA minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience and a demonstrated, zealous commitment to advocacy for represented clients.Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Spanish and English (required)Manage a diverse caseload of removal cases effectively, adhering to strict deadlines.Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivatedMust have good written and verbal skills;Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, strategic planning, and case development.Research and analysis of EOIR, BIA, Circuit case law and decisions, agency memoranda, Policy, Policy updates, Manuals, DOS reports, criminal background results, and immigration consequences.Extensive knowledge of legal proceedings (EOIR / BONDS / ICE) and in preparing EOIR / BONDS / ICE filings and ApplicationsProficiency with case management and immigration software (INSZoom, ECAS, ACI, CeBONDS, Webex )Knowledge of the operation of Ring Central, Zoom, Teams, Google Calendar, and Google Drive, Microsoft Office (preferred)Possess a strong work ethic and a sense of accountability.Capable of handling a busy, diverse docket with minimal supervision, results-oriented, and able to follow a work schedule.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to client service and a compassionate approach to working with immigrant communities.Driven to serve a population of mixed cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.Capable of managing stress in a fast-paced environment.Maintain CLE hoursDriver's license, personal vehicle, and ability to travel.Position Key Responsibilities :
Maintain and follow activities in a self-scheduled calendarWill provide legal consultations for all EOIR and Bonds prospective clients, Detainee Visitations, and Pre-screening in various locationsDevelop case strategy and prepare clients / witnesses for court testimony.Appear and represent clients in all EOIR mattersAppear and represent clients in all Bond Determination mattersPrepare and submit filings for EOIR- ICE / Daft legal documents, pleadings, motions, Briefs, supporting documents, applications, translations, statements, and other legal documents.Update the legal database with all case management notes and documentation.Maintain contact with clients according to the calendarUpdate the GDrive share database with all case information and updates / Be consistent in note-taking.Maintain and update a self-scheduled calendar for all hearings and case-related activities, deadlines, priority dates, consultations, and visitations.Prepare records searches under FOIA for all branches of immigration as well as FBI background checks and police and court records searches.Provide co-counseling assistance to other attorneys of the Immigration Department.Review open cases for proper recordkeeping and file maintenance.Assist with USCIS interviews (as needed)Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, other attorneys, court employees, and immigration judges and officers.Develop and present bimonthly training for paralegals and other members of the firmSupervise paralegal to monitor productivity.Prepare and present case updates, case status / case reports and present productivity reports to the admin / attorneyPerform other duties that may be assigned by the Managing Attorney for the Immigration DepartmentEnsure compliance with Immigration laws, regulations , and proceduresMaintaining ethical standards, complying with rules of professional conductAttend internal meetingsAttend designated company media, marketing, and social eventsParticipate in department-sponsored functions.Request financial department approvalsTake paymentsCompensation :
Base Salary : Base Salary + Profit Sharing
