Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist will support the finance team by performing day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and enter vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding.
• Process weekly payment runs and prepare checks or electronic payments.
• Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with W-9 and COI requirements.
• Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close.
• Track and audit petty cash and credit card transactions.
• Record customer payments and deposit checks.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Communicate with clients regarding payment status and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and send monthly billing statements and invoices.
• Assist with collections and maintain accurate AR records.
• Assist with timesheet and expense report reviews.
• Support invoice preparation and contract tracking.
• Perform filing and general administrative tasks.
• Participate in audits and provide documentation as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00 / hr.
