We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced CNC Machinist Instructor to join our team and lead hands-on training for students pursuing careers in advanced manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and programming, and a passion for teaching and mentoring students. This role involves delivering classroom instruction, guiding practical lab exercises, and helping students develop the skills needed to succeed in today’s precision manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver high-quality instruction in CNC machining, including setup, operation, programming (G-code and CAM software), and safety protocols.
Teach blueprint reading, precision measurement, tooling, speeds / feeds, and materials as they apply to machining.
Provide hands-on training using CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment.
Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to reflect current industry standards.
Maintain a safe and organized classroom and lab environment.
Monitor and assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
Support students in developing professional skills and workplace readiness.
Collaborate with colleagues, advisory committees, and industry partners to ensure program relevance and student success.
Maintain equipment and request supplies or repairs as needed.
Participate in school events, outreach, and industry engagement activities.
