🧭 Position Summary : National Safety Specialist – Child & Program Safety
The National Safety Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the safety, security, and compliance efforts across Compass Connections programs nationwide. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented safety professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to child welfare. The Specialist works closely with regional teams and the National Safety Officer to implement safety protocols, conduct audits, and promote trauma-informed practices that protect both staff and youth.

- Salary : $69,222.00 / Salaried role. Bi-Weekly Pay
- Location : 729 Washington Avenue
- Employment Type : Full-Time, Permanent
- Work Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (flexibility required)
- Language Requirement : Must be fluent in Spanish and English
- Travel : Hybrid with travel to program sites. Must commute to the nearest HUB office weekly

🎓 Qualifications
Must be fluent in Spanish and EnglishBachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or related fieldMinimum of three (3) years of experience in safety, compliance, or child welfare settingsFamiliarity with OSHA, state licensing, and federal safety regulationsExperience working with immigrant populations and trauma-informed care preferredValid driver’s license and insurable vehicleAbility to travel and respond to safety concerns as needed🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of national safety protocols and emergency response plansConduct routine site inspections and assist in safety auditsParticipate in incident investigations and ensure proper documentationTrain staff on safety procedures and regulatory complianceAssist in monitoring regulatory changes and updating internal policiesServe as a liaison between program teams and the National Safety OfficerPromote a culture of safety, accountability, and trauma-informed care💡 Core Competencies
