Engineering Manager

Job Title : Engineering Manager Location : Red Wing, Minnesota Type : Direct Hire Work Model : Onsite preferred (5 days / week) Relocation : Assistance available Overview : We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager with strong expertise in hydraulics to lead technical support and product development initiatives. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex application challenges. Key Responsibilities : Lead the Technical Support department to ensure alignment with business goals Collaborate with Sales to identify market trends and customer needs Design and develop innovative hydraulic solutions and products Provide technical support across pre-sales and post-sales activities Conduct product training for internal teams, distributors, and customers Participate in trade shows, seminars, and customer meetings Maintain clear communication across departments and with external partners Promote safety and ensure compliance with company policies Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) 2+ years in applications / design engineering Certified with the International Fluid Power Society (preferred) Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) Strong communication and project management skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (domestic / international) Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 60 lbs) for demos and trade shows Work Environment : Office-based with occasional travel to customer sites and trade shows Exposure to varied environments including warehouses and outdoor conditions System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
