job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAdministrative duties such as greeting individuals coming into the building, answering phones, receiving / sending faxes, filing for the Family Services Department. Professionally greet everyone who calls or comes to the building and appropriately refer them to the right staff member. Ensure that visitors are signed in and out of the building to ensure security within the building. Perform pre-screens for Family Services clients including providing an explanation of all required documentation for appointments and program eligibility. Provide paperwork for utility and other services as needed including collecting and copying documentation required by each program. Schedule clients for appointments within the Family Services Department. Refer clients to other agencies when appropriate. Process-in-kind donations according to policy, including organizing and rotating daily donations in the reception area. Assist in maintaining and updating the Social Services Database, Healthify Database, Internal Referral Tracking, etc. to ensure accurate records as needed for statistical and billing purposes. Assist in the completion of UGI CAP / OpSHARE phone calls and enrollments, including ordering UGI paperwork. Assist in the distribution of food, clothing, or other commodities, including Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance programs as necessary. Assist with home visits as needed. Performs all other related duties as assigned. High School Diploma / GED Valid PA Drivers License Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills Skilled in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) Must be bilingual, Spanish English, in both verbal and written communication to best serve the community Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment : PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record / Fingerprint Check. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check along with renewals every five years. Must have an understanding of and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
