Position Summary
The Junior Systems Administrator will participate in the deployment and maintenance of all aspects of the Network and Server Infrastructure that supports Azure Standard as directed by the IT Operations Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities :
Network Monitoring and Management : Proactively monitor network systems to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime.
Server Administration : Perform administration tasks for both Linux and Windows servers, ensuring robust security, performance, and compliance with organizational standards.
Hardware and Software Deployment : Assist in the installation and configuration of server hardware, operating systems, and server-side applications to support business needs.
Networking Equipment Setup : Support the installation, configuration, and deployment of networking equipment, including routers, switches, and cabling, to maintain a high-performing network infrastructure.
Facility Systems Support : Contribute to the installation, configuration, and maintenance of facility monitoring and security systems to ensure a safe and secure operational environment.
Backup Infrastructure Management : Monitor and manage backup systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with disaster recovery protocols.
Cybersecurity Oversight : Assist in monitoring and managing cybersecurity systems to protect organizational assets from threats and vulnerabilities.
Documentation and Asset Tracking : Maintain accurate change records, equipment asset inventories, and other documentation to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Additional Duties : Take on other tasks and projects as assigned by the IT Operations Supervisor to support the evolving needs of the IT department.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
Minimum 6 years experience in Enterprise IT Operations required
Technical Skills
Working knowledge in the following areas :
Windows and Linux Server environments
Server Virtualization (VMWare and or Proxmox)
Active Directory
Powershell and Bash
Advanced Networking Concepts, Routing Protocols and Firewall Management
Data Storage protocols
Soft Skills
Strong Troubleshooting ability
Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
Work well in a team environment

Other Requirements
Must be able to commute to Moro, OR. Must be willing to work outside business hours when required. Some travel required.
Bonus Skills :
Experience with outdoor fixed wireless networking
Tower Climbing Experience
Working understanding of AC and DC electrical concepts
IOT systems and protocols
PLC and control systems
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Work can require heavy lifting. Also, must be able to work at heights without issue.
