We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Frisco, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting the overall payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll administration and possess strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities :
- Calculate employee compensation based on hours worked, salary structures, bonuses, and commissions.
- Process payroll taxes, deductions, and other payroll-related expenses with precision.
- Manage garnishments, adjustments, and other modifications to employee pay as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager or Supervisor to ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate payroll templates and salary structures to streamline operations.
- Oversee and report on expense reimbursements and other payroll-related financial activities.
- Handle worker's compensation claims and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
- Support the implementation of bonus programs and commission functions as needed.
- Regularly audit payroll data to identify and address discrepancies.
- Provide replacement coverage for payroll functions during employee absences.
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
- Proficiency in managing payroll systems and processes, including calculating wages and tax deductions.
- Knowledge of garnishments, adjustments, and worker's compensation procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Familiarity with bonus programs, commission structures, and related payroll functions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to adapt to changes and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
