Red Wing Shoe Company is seeking a Mobile Unit Sales Manager to join our Direct-to-Consumer (Retail) team. This role is classified as Hyflex; both onsite, in Red Wing, MN, and remote work availability. Business travel to high-volume markets or mobile runs may occur based on business-need. Candidate located in Central Time Zone (CT) is preferred to effectively support operations across both East and West Coasts.
Job Description
This role will report to our Managing Director, DTC, with a dotted line to our Central, Region DTC Director. This role is responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of our mobile sales operations while helping define growth strategies. This individual will serve as a key bridge to the Direct-to-Consumer retail channel and Industrial Sales teams. This role works closely with both outside and inside sales teams to identify customer opportunities, schedule truck visits, and ensure efficient route planning across territories. The Mobile Sales Manager ensures that our mobile sales operations are aligned with strategic sales goals, delivering value directly to customer sites and enhancing contract performance.
Essential Duties
Responsible for partnering with Industrial Sales teams and Retail Field leadership to deliver our mobile revenue targets by monitoring trends, activity and market dynamics. Partner with Industrial Sales team and Retail Field Leadership to identify customers with active or potential MSA contracts who may benefit in mobile engagement in support of contract expansion and customer retention. In partnership with DTC Field Management and Rev Ops partners, support product planning efforts by helping coordinate product selection and demand forecasting to ensure optimal inventory and alignment with market needs within the mobile units. Maximize revenue potential by creating awareness of our truck schedule, route maps, and ensuring cross-functional stakeholders are informed and engaged in supporting local sales opportunities. Review and suggest enhancements to existing processes and procedures to streamline operations. Identify and communicate best-practices to both local and corporate stakeholders. Attend and support large-scale customer events and tradeshows as needed. In partnership with Rev Ops, monitor mobile sales performance, including revenue, customer engagement, and visit outcomes. Provides monthly updates to sales leadership on truck utilization and sales impact.
Qualifications
Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Retail Management, or a related field of study, with 3-5 years of experience in sales, field operations, or mobile unit management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven track record of influencing sales teams and achieving performance targets. Experience coordinating logistics and operations for mobile units. Experience working across multiple regions or time zones is a plus. Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, meeting sales targets, and improving customer satisfaction.
