The Mechanical Engineer II reports directly to the Sensors Interconnects Section within the Tactical Radars and Effectors (TRE) Department. The TRE Department leads mechanical and hardware design, development, production of radar, sonar, torpedo, communication, and combat system equipment across locations in California, Arizona, Texas, and Massachusetts.

What You Will Do

• Use mechanical and electrical flow down to design, select components, and route cables using CREO to verify cable path, volume capture, lengths, and interfaces.
• Use mechanical and electrical information to develop interconnections sketches, diagrams, and other engineering information to generate conceptual designs and drawings in tools such as CREO, AutoCAD, and Windchill.
• Process Technical Data Package release and Change Notices (CN)
