A Team Home Services is looking to hire an experienced Commercial Sheet Rock Installer to join our team.
This role is specifically for commercial projects, but can transition to residential if work slows.
The Commercial Lead Sheet Rock Installer is responsible for leading and performing drywall installation for commercial construction projects.
This role includes supervising a team, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining productivity, and delivering projects on schedule while following safety standards and building codes.
The ideal candidate has extensive commercial drywall experience and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee daily drywall installation activities on commercial job sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
- Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings to precise dimensions.
- Install corner beads, insulation, backing, and blocking as required.
- Tape and finish drywall seams to Level 4 or Level 5 standards depending on project needs.
- Install acoustical wall systems, fire-rated assemblies, metal stud framing, and backing boards.
- Train and supervise drywall crew members; assign tasks and monitor performance.
- Ensure compliance with jobsite safety protocols (OSHA and company safety policies).
- Coordinate with general contractors, site supervisors, and other trades.
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy; resolve issues proactively.
- Track material usage and report needs to maintain project efficiency.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Qualifications :
4 years commercial drywall / sheet rock installation experience.High school diploma or equivalent.OSHA 10 or 30 preferred, but not required. Proficient in drywall hanging, taping, and finishing techniques.Ability to read construction plans and specifications.Strong understanding of commercial framing systems and fire-rated assemblies.Familiarity with construction safety practices and OSHA standards.Knowledge of metal stud framing and acoustical ceilings.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.Strong communication and team leadership skills.Provide 3 references Pay rate :
