• And much more\n\nPosition Summary\n\nThe Cardiopulmonary unit at Jackson Purchase Medical Center embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing care to patients. This is unit that ensures patients receive optimal medical attention and support. We strive to create places where patients choose to come for healthcare, where providers desire to practice, and Team Members want to work.\n\nThe RN - Cardiopulmonary provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.\n
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.\n
• Documents patient care given.\n
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.\n
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.\n
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.\n
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.\n
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.\n\nRequired Skills\n
• Critical thinking skills\n
• Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.\n
• Capable of working in a stressful environment and taking appropriate action.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nEducation : \n
• Associate's degree required\n
• Bachelor's degree preferred\n\nCertifications : \n
• Basic Life Support (BLS)\n
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)\n\nLicenses : \n
