General Description
The Editor II supports the College & Career Advising (CCA) Division of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) by providing editorial oversight across all division products and initiatives, including ApplyTexas, My Texas Future, ADVi, Texas OnCourse, Direct Admissions, and associated help desk and communication platforms. This position evaluates, edits, and proofreads content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to established editorial standards and style guides. Work includes collaborating with internal teams, higher education and K–12 partners, and external vendors to prepare materials for publication across digital and print platforms. Work also involves proofreading materials according to the Chicago Manual of Style and supporting numerous concurrent projects with key external stakeholders. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Instructional Design and works under limited supervision with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
