Payroll Administrator
Overview
Mortenson is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator who will provide timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll transactions.
Responsibilities
- Review and reconcile timecards
- Execute the weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payroll cycle
- Address inquiries from team members, supervisors, or Craft Resource Managers regarding hours worked or amount paid
- Manage work portfolio for a specific operating group, including audits, missed hours, off-cycle payroll transfers, historical corrections, and statement of earnings to support draft checks
- Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain employee data related to worked hours or amount paid to a team member
- Provide excellent customer service to team members
- Remain proficient in new technology introduced within the payroll operations
- Follow department policies related to sensitive information requests
- Resolve timecard inquiries via telephone or e-mail
- Build effective work relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Perform additional duties such as maintaining trackers, recording errors, updating KPIs, and working on special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of two years' payroll experience in a multi-state environmentExperience processing payroll in either UKG, Oracle, or ADP is requiredProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationPositive, professional attitude with excellent customer service skillsAbility to adapt to a fast-paced work environment which leverages new technologyAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to prioritize work assignments and customer requestsBenefits

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations : Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
