Manage various analyses including :
Quarterly Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (“ALLL”) analysisCECL implementationPortfolio stress testingConcentration management analysisIndustry and market trends & outlooksInfluence the bank’s credit risk cultureResponsible for the development, execution and management of reporting and analytical needs for Portfolio Credit Risk ManagementMonitor and manage credit risk for the bank's loan portfolioApply sensitivity analysis, stress testing, market trend, and other analytical methodologies to anticipate credit trends or deterioration and obtain insights into portfolio performance and market opportunities in an attempt to identify and mitigate potential credit exposure to the portfolioChallenge, develop, and recommend credit portfolio strategies to improve portfolio efficiency that mitigates loss exposure and maximize profitabilityIdentify potential systemic problems in the life cycle of a credit from origination, underwriting, documentation, and problem loans, including identify changing market conditionsEvaluate the activities of lending personnel, ensuring such activities are compliant with lending policies and the quality of their loan approval, monitoring, and risk grading assessmentRecommend appropriate loan risk grade or adversely classify loans, especially those with well-defined credit weaknesses that jeopardize the repaymentReview the Bank’s Watch List monthly and ensure risk ratings are appropriate and changes made through the Bank’s auto-rater function are necessaryDiscuss all noted deficiencies and identified weaknesses, and any existing or planned corrective actions, including time frames for correction, with appropriate loan officers and managersManage risk presentations for senior management that include portfolio activities, analytics of risk, performance, emerging trends and opportunities. Ensure the quality and data integrity of the monthly and quarterly reports sent to Senior Management, Committees, and BoardLead the development of analytics and visualization to assist with portfolio credit risk surveillance. Typical functions are loss forecasting, loan mix management, risk appetite management, collections strategy, watch list oversight, and reporting related to KPI / KRI’s.Track policy exceptions that will provide meaningful feedback to understand credit portfolio risk, future potential credit problems, and provide feedback for Lending Policy and Underwriting enhancementsInterested in hearing more?
