Lilly is currently constructing a cutting-edge facility for the manufacture of new modalities including Gene Therapy. At Lebanon, Indiana, this facility will be Lilly's most technically advanced manufacturing site focused on the delivery of the next wave of innovative products at Lilly. It will include next-generation manufacturing technologies and advanced data collection and analysis platforms that will deliver improvements in safety and quality, and process performance.
This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the team for the startup of a greenfield manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will participate in the start-up of the facility responsible for both clinical and commercial supply.
We are seeking a Utility Operations Supervisor for night shift at Lebanon Advanced Therapies Manufacturing Site to provide oversight of all utility operations, monitor operations in compliance with cGMP, and ensure equipment and systems are available, maintained, and repaired to the applicable standards. The Utility Operations Supervisor will be, at a minimum, responsible for the following :
- Assuring compliance with site procedures
- Facilitating and communicating site utility events
- Functional and technical leadership for our utility operations team
- Monitoring and reporting utility system performance to site stakeholders
- Responsible lead for coordinating and executing site utility operations
- Support equipment failure investigations and / or root cause analysis into utility systems
Lebanon Facility Pre-Startup and Startup Phase :
For training and on-boarding, this position will transition on day shift initially to supporting a 24 / 7 operation during peak activities for start-up on night shift.Utility operations supervision will be 24 / 7 / 365 at the siteLead a safety-first, quality always utility operations teamAbility to respond quickly and proactively to changing priorities within a reasonable timeframeCross functionally collaboration with Global Facility Delivery (GFD) to support project deliveryParticipate in system Lockout Tagout (LOTO), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) work plansSupport and / or participate in system verification (commissioning and qualification) including system startup, shakedowns, initial / operational verification, and / or equipment qualificationLebanon Facility Post Startup :
This is a night shift position : 5pm - 5 : 15am, 12-hour shifts, 3-2-2-3 formatAct as a point of contact for utility escalations and system communicationProvide direct reports supervision in the planning and implementation of their assigned duties and in developing goals and objectivesEnsure consistent work practices and implemented and applied to utility operations best practicesEnsure that the facility is always in an inspection readiness state for internal and external auditsEscort contractors and ensure training requirements are met before performing workMaintain full knowledge of the building monitor system (BMS) to support troubleshooting activities related to Utility systemsMonitors overall job environmental, health and safety aspects and understands the risks associated with various utility maintenance and repair activitiesMust be able to recognize hazard conditions, take appropriate workplace safety measures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment to suit work environmentPerform all aspects of the position by following cGMP's and Safety / OSHA regulationsProvide 24-hour emergency responseProvides technical expertise to assist the Utility Operators in trouble shooting all problems as they occur on equipment in the Utility Room and within the FacilityReview / evaluate corrective and emergency work orders for trends and support NCE's, Change Controls, and SOPs as applicable for all qualified systems and areasReview / evaluate corrective and emergency work orders for trends and institute solutions as requiredSupervise the Utility Operators in their performance and completion of all work activities to insure they are addressed in an accurate and timely mannerPeople Management :
Ensures training for the team is at or above the site goalEnsure on-going learning and team reflection on-time completion of training requirementsEnsure the company values, standards, and policies are communicated to and modeled within the teamIdentify and implement changes best work practices in conjunction with appropriate team membersSupport direct reports in safety practicesBasic Qualifications :
Education : High School Diploma (preferred associate degree)Experience : Minimum of five years of utilities operations experienceAdditional Skills / Preferences :
