Skillforce is currently hiring Structural Fitters and Fabricators for a 3-month project in Grantsville, MD. This position offers $26–$32 per hour, working 50–60 hours per week, with 1st and 2nd shift opportunities available. Per diem is offered for those who qualify!

As a Structural Fitter / Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting structural steel components according to blueprints and specifications, and performing tack welding using stick or MIG welding processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication plans

Fit and assemble structural components accurately

Perform tack welding (stick or MIG) to secure assemblies

Verify measurements and tolerances to ensure precise alignment

Maintain a safe and organized work area

Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals

Requirements :

Prior experience in structural fitting and fabrication

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Must have a 25-ft tape measure and needle nose pliers

Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings (including drug test and background check)
