We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the team as a CNC Machining Technician Lead Person . This position oversees the daily operations of the CNC department, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The Lead CNC Machining Technician provides technical guidance and leadership to CNC operators and serves as a liaison between the team and management. This role requires commitment to teamwork, accountability, and Watts' values while supporting our mission to protect the world's most valuable resource : water.

This position reports to the Value Stream Leader. This role is onsite and is based in St. Pauls, NC.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate CNC machining activities to meet production schedules.
• Assign tasks and monitor performance of CNC operators.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines including mills and lathes.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and ensure product quality.
• Train and mentor new and existing team members.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Perform routine maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Conduct and lead daily Gemba walks and meetings to promote continuous improvement and team engagement.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
• Fill in for Supervisor as needed, including decision-making and team oversight.

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company's location in St. Pauls, NC. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
