This full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position at the Grimes Center involves supervising nursing care and staff while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and providing direct patient care. - Supervise and direct nursing care and related activities on the unit by following established nursing standards and facility policies.\n
- Conduct thorough resident rounds, directing the care provided by certified nursing assistants (C.N.A.s) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and promptly report changes in resident conditions to physicians.\n
- Perform and document comprehensive assessments of each resident to develop personalized care plans and participate in care conferences.\n
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, ensuring adherence to facility policies and state law.\n
- Provide effective communication and collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, families, and ancillary service providers.\n
- Participate in the employee evaluation process, providing feedback on clinical performance when necessary.\n
- Maintain safety protocols and infection control practices while fulfilling other job-related duties as directed by the Nursing Supervisor.\n
- Act as a chaperone for patients during specific procedures and examinations.\nQualifications : \n
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Science preferred.\n
- At least one year of experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing preferred.\n
- A Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut.\n
