We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Leawood, Kansas. Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial data integrity.
• Prepare and post journal entries while adhering to accounting principles and company policies.
• Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and compliance requirements.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies in all accounting activities.
• Assist in preparing reports and documentation for management review.
• Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation practices.
• Expertise in performing bank reconciliations with high accuracy.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
