Are you a seasoned tax professional with a passion for crunching numbers? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced Accounting + Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for handling complex tax matters and providing expert advice to our clients.

Responsibilities :

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities :

1. Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

2. Conduct thorough tax planning and research to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws.

3. Analyze financial statements and reports for discrepancies and irregularities.

4. Provide expert advice on tax-related matters and make recommendations for tax strategies.

5. Liaise with tax authorities and represent clients in tax audits.

6. Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and provide timely updates to clients and team members.

7. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.

8. Assist in the preparation of financial and tax reports, budgets, and forecasts.

9. Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on tax-related matters.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications :

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax accountant role with a focus on federal, state, and local tax.

3. Proficient in tax preparation software and tools.

4. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.

5. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to handle complex tax issues.

6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to explain complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.

8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

9. High level of integrity and professionalism.
