Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a current CA license for a Labor and Delivery position caring for a high-risk, diverse OB population.

Responsibilities Position is based in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital

Care for high-risk obstetric patients from a culturally diverse population

RNs are required to circulate on Cesarean sections

Night shifts with three 12-hour shifts per week (18 : 00–6 : 30)

Must work every other weekend

Charting is done using Epic EMR and prior Epic experience is required

Floating may be required within the hospital and to nearby affiliated facilities

RNs may float between sister facilities as needed

Travelers' refusal to float may impact assignment eligibility

Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

Scrub attire should be any solid color, with Royal Blue or Navy being typical

Free parking provided on the first day with assignment-specific parking given during orientation

Modules required pre-start and annually, averaging 16 hours

Requested time off must be included at the time of consideration and is subject to approval

Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of consideration

Minimum of 1 year recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required

Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NRP

Epic charting experience required

Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable setting

First-time travelers are accepted

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel status

Returning staff must have a 3-month gap before returning as a traveler
