SUMMARY Responsible for assisting with company-wide safety program – the development and administration of all safety policies and procedures. The Safety Manager will establish reliable methods for improving safety performance and creating a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promote safety integrity throughout the entire company
• Monitor safety compliance
• Plan, implement and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs
• Maintain high levels of communication with job site managers, and local, federal, and state agencies such as MSHA, OSHA, and DOT
• Prepare, tailor, and present training topics to large groups to the level and experience of the audience
• Administer, monitor, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of accident reports and investigations
• Collect, analyze, and maintain safety statistics and injury and illness records
• Facilitate MSHA, OSHA, and DOT safety training
• Conduct job site inspections
• Train new and existing Safety Superintendents
• Write Toolbox Talks
• Interpret and adopt new Federal / State regulations
• Conduct accident and incident investigations
