Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for the American theatre, seeks an entrepreneurial Manager of Institutional Partnerships. This position will join a team that cultivates over $1.5M-$2M+ annually to support TCG's programs and services that advance the national non-profit theatre sector. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement & Partnerships, the Manager will contribute to an ambitious cultivation strategy, with a particular focus on corporate giving, sponsorships, and business development. About the Organization
Theatre Communications Group exists to strengthen, nurture, and promote the professional not-for-profit theatre. Founded in 1961, TCG's U.S-based constituency has grown from a handful of groundbreaking theatres to over 700 Member Theatres and affiliate organizations and nearly 10,000 Individual Members. Through its Core Values of Activism, Artistry, Diversity, and Global Citizenship, TCG envisions a better world for theatre and a better world because of theatre. About the Department
The Department of Institutional Advancement & Partnerships includes three full-time staff members : the Director of Institutional Advancement & Partnerships; the Manager of Institutional Partnerships; and a Manager of Institutional Giving who focuses on foundation and government grants. Together, this team works with TCG's program staff, executive leadership, and finance department to research and secure $1.5M – 2M+ annually through existing partnerships and new sources, including a regional campaign for the TCG National Conference which occurs in a new city each year. The Department engages interns and temporary, part-time assistance, as needed, to accomplish its goals. Annual fundraising is supplemented by a separate department of Individual Giving & Special Events which produces TCG's annual Gala and secures support from individual donors. Both departments collaborate on TCG's Book Sponsorship Program, Board Fundraising Committee, and other strategic cultivation campaigns.

What You Need For This Position
Candidates should have a demonstrated record of accomplishment with cultivating and closing corporate and business sponsorships. This position involves both internal as well as partner-facing relationship management, which requires detail orientation, strong interpersonal skills, and alignment with TCG's mission, vision, and values. Working with funding entities, developing grant applications, creating pitch decks, and designing mutually beneficial business-to-business plans among TCG, sponsors, and business partners are key components for success and growth in this position. The ability to interact with staff at all levels while remaining proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is important for this role. Compensation and Benefits
Salary for this position is $58,500, with a comprehensive benefits package. TCG fosters a collegial environment that encourages a healthy work-life balance. All staff receive free TCG published books, a subscription to American Theatre magazine, and will be included in events for Staff designed by TCG's "Fun Committee" to foster a warm, inviting and friendly office culture.
