Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An established mail order pounding pharmacy is seeking a Lead Pharmacist to oversee second shift operations, with an opportunity for contract to hire engagement. This role is essential in managing daily pharmacy functions, ensuring regulatory pliance, and promoting high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment shipping to all 50 states.
Location : Mason, OH
Job Type : Contract to Hire
Shift : 2nd shift (2 : 00 PM 10 : 00 PM or 4 : 00 PM 12 : 00 AM), including some weekends
Responsibilities :
- Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations to ensure smooth, efficient workflows and timely prescription processing
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians, and administrative personnel
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and patient care
- Schedule and allocate staff effectively to maintain adequate coverage
- Monitor pharmacy operations regularly, identifying areas for improvement
- Ensure full pliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including DEA and HIPAA standards
- Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay informed on pharmaceutical industry advancements and regulatory changes
Qualifications :
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited schoolCurrent Ohio State licensure as a pharmacist35 years of leadership experience in a pounding pharmacy settingProven expertise in both sterile and non-sterile pounding medicationsStrong grasp of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapyExcellent munication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with pharmacy software, specifically PioneerRx, and electronic health records (EHR)mitment to patient safety, attention to detail, and ethical standardsAbility to interpret handwritten and faxed prescriptions accuratelyBenefits and Perks (upon hire) :
