Needed immediately : A Mechanical Project Engineer in Alpharetta, GA. The Engineer will provide support and guidance on high-quality industrial projects.

Required :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but non-degreed candidates with ample experience may be considered
  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience, preferably from a consulting engineering background in industrial projects such as chemical or pulp and paper
  • Autocad Plant 3D knowledge preferred (navigation within the software, not design)
  • Pipeflow and / or Autoplant experience is a plus
  • Proposal management experience is beneficial
  • Ability to prepare technical memorandums / study reports to justify decisions / actions
  • Experience with Microsoft Project is an asset
  • Knowledge of economic decision-making approaches based on available facts and constraints
  • EIT certification highly preferred; PE certification is a plus

Job Responsibilities :

  • Interfacing with clients, team members, and contractors to define project requirements
  • Generating proposals and project estimates with technical teams
  • Ensuring projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Reviewing equipment specifications
  • Tracking project financials, schedules, and change management
  • Ensuring high-quality project completion within schedules and budgets
  • Creating project plans with schedules, milestones, controls, and risk management
  • Supporting safety planning for teams
  • Resolving issues related to performance, scope, and schedule
  • Building business relationships with clients
  • Seeking continuous improvement opportunities
