Senior Inside Sales Representative Role Overview :
The Senior Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing a defined book of approximately 300–400 customer accounts, including sales representative agencies. This role focuses on executing high-volume sales of janitorial and sanitation components, while also identifying, pursuing, and landing new large wholesalers and MRO supply house partners.
Reporting directly to the National Channel Sales Manager, this individual will engage with customers through consistent outbound communication, drive sales performance through strong account management, and deliver accurate monthly sales forecasts. The role also involves maintaining a clean pipeline within HubSpot CRM, ensuring exceptional customer service, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve revenue growth. Occasional travel (10–20%) will be required for customer visits, trade shows, and strategic planning meetings.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Account Management and Growth
Manage and nurture a portfolio of 300–400 existing customer accounts, including sales representative agencies.Build and sustain long-term customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and account growth.Identify, pursue, and secure new large wholesalers and MRO supply house customers, with a focus on industrial, janitorial, and eCommerce distribution channels.Provide timely product information, quotations, and technical support to maintain customer confidence and sales momentum.2. Pipeline and CRM Management
Maintain a clean, organized, and accurate pipeline of opportunities within HubSpot CRM.Track all customer interactions, document sales progress, and ensure full visibility into deal stages.Conduct consistent follow-up and account engagement to ensure deals progress to purchase order.Coordinate with Customer Service and Operations teams to guarantee smooth order fulfillment and issue resolution.3. Sales Forecasting and Revenue Reporting
Develop and maintain accurate monthly sales forecasts, supported by data-driven insights and market trends.Provide regular sales performance updates to the National Channel Sales Manager.Analyze sales metrics and account trends to identify opportunities for growth and process improvement.Contribute to quarterly and annual business planning by summarizing account performance and market opportunities.4. Sales Targets and KPIs
Achieve or exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales revenue goals.Maintain consistent outbound activity levels across calls, emails, and virtual meetings.Ensure a balanced and healthy sales pipeline, accurately reflecting current opportunities.Drive high conversion rates from opportunities to purchase orders.5. Team Collaboration
Partner with the National Channel Sales Manager to refine strategies and execute growth plans.Collaborate with Customer Service, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver superior customer support and campaign execution.Participate in team meetings, performance reviews, and professional development programs.Support and execute co-branded marketing initiatives targeting wholesale, industrial, and MRO supply channels.Required Skills / Abilities :
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage large-volume sales relationships across national accounts.Proficiency with HubSpot CRM and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.Knowledge of the manufacturing and distribution industries is preferred.Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in inside sales or account management.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving team performance.Experience in managing customer accounts and promoting cross-sell / upsell strategies.Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.Strong analytical and communication skillsWillingness to travel occasionally for team meetings, training, and customer visits.Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
