Superintendent Of Construction
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent of Construction to lead our on-site team from the start of construction through to project completion. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project, including scheduling, logistics, quality control, and staffing, to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the on-site team from construction start through project close.
- Oversee and make decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing levels.
- Promote coordinated project operations by overseeing work among assigned trades.
- Resolve local area problems regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor, and equipment scheduling.
- Conduct daily jobsite walkthroughs to verify field conditions, in addition to managing daily safe work plans and toolbox talks.
- Monitor the detailed master schedule, create a two-week look ahead, and track critical dates impacting project completion.
- Proactively identify and help resolve design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project-specific issues.
- Communicate and interpret contract scope to the entire site management team.
- Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors before each phase of work.
- Create and maintain a project production schedule.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, developers, and subcontractors.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related fields, or equivalent training.8+ years of construction experience, including supervisory experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.Comprehensive understanding of all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.Basic competency with construction technologies.Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, contract documents, scopes of work, and project schedule.Ability to travel to jobsites as needed.Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 30 Hour certification and First Aid / CPR certification are a plus.Experience in higher education, commercial construction, and construction supervision.Work Environment
This position is based onsite, requiring frequent travel to jobsites. The work environment is dynamic and involves managing diverse teams and coordinating various project activities.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00 / hr.
