Job Title : IT Desktop Technician

Salary : $24-$28 per hour DOE

Location : Tustin, CA

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive technical support for all staff across the organization, including campus-based personnel.
• Hands-on support for IT hardware and software, including computers, phones, printers, modems, and other devices.
• Receiving and managing user tickets through electronic systems, documenting actions, and communicating with the user community throughout the ticket life cycle.
• Troubleshooting and resolving intermediate to complex hardware and software issues with minimal supervision.
• Installing and configuring standard applications and ensuring timely response in alignment with service-level goals.
• Ensuring efficient operations, system reliability, and end-user satisfaction across the organization.
• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and IOT devices.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems with desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and other hardware and software.
• Providing support for various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Managing and maintaining computer networks, including LAN and WAN connectivity.
• Conducting system upgrades and performing routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, virus scans, and data backups.
• Documenting technical procedures and troubleshooting steps to aid in the support of computer systems.
• Maintaining an inventory of hardware and software assets and ordering new equipment as needed.
• Responding to support requests and inquiries from end-users via phone, email, or in-person, and providing remote support when needed.
• Providing technical support for software applications, including productivity software, email clients, and specialized business applications.
• Configuring and maintaining mobile devices for use by end-users.
• Training end-users on how to use computer systems and software applications, including regular user training sessions.
• Maintaining accurate records of support activities, including user requests, resolutions, and follow-up communications.
• Coordinating with MSSP to identify potential security risks or system vulnerabilities.
• Collaborating with IT staff to resolve complex technical issues and support ongoing projects.
• Developing and implementing technology policies and procedures to ensure security and reliability of computer systems.
• Monitoring and maintaining security of computer systems, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.
• Participating in testing and deployment of new hardware and software systems.
• Staying up-to-date with trends in computer technology and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
