Associate Attorney - Business Litigation
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney with 2+ years of business litigation experience to join our dynamic Litigation Practice Group. The successful candidate will handle a diverse range of complex legal matters, including dispute resolution, commercial litigation, trade secrets, construction litigation, environmental and land use disputes, and shareholder disputes. This role offers an opportunity to work on challenging cases, collaborate with experienced attorneys, and contribute to the firm's continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and other business-related legal matters.
- Handle cases involving trade secrets, including misappropriation claims and related intellectual property disputes.
- Manage construction litigation matters, including disputes over contracts, defects, delays, and payment issues.
- Address environmental and land use disputes, including regulatory compliance and zoning issues.
- Assist in shareholder disputes, including corporate governance and fiduciary duty matters.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Provide strategic advice to clients and collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
- Maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively to provide updates and counsel.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania (or the relevant jurisdiction).Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on complex commercial litigation, trade secrets, construction litigation, environmental and land use disputes, or shareholder disputes preferred.Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Experience with depositions, hearings, and trial preparation is a plus.Benefits
