Position Overview

Urban Bar & Kitchen is seeking a motivated and reliable Bartender / Keyholder to join our team. This dual role combines bartending expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is a skilled bartender with strong organizational skills, who can also be trusted with opening and closing duties, inventory management, and liquor ordering.

Key Responsibilities

• Bartending & Guest Service

Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with efficiency and consistency.

• Provide excellent guest service by creating a welcoming and engaging environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, following health and safety standards.
• Keyholder Duties

Open and close the bar, ensuring all procedures and security measures are followed.

• Handle cash deposits, end-of-day reports, and secure the premises.
• Act as a point of contact for staff during assigned shifts, supporting smooth operations.
• Inventory & Ordering

Track and manage bar inventory, including liquor, beer, wine, and mixers.

• Place orders with vendors, maintain proper stock levels, and minimize waste.
• Receive, check, and properly store deliveries.
• Team Support & Operations

Assist with training new bartenders or servers as needed.

• Collaborate with management to develop cocktail menus and promotions.
• Uphold Urban Bar & Kitchens standards of service and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required; keyholder or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
• Must be 21+ and possess required state / city liquor service certifications.
