The ideal Facilities Manager (temp) candidate is a dedicated and detail-oriented individual. This position reports directly to the Office Manager and will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our New York office facilities, ensuring a welcoming, comfortable and safe environment for all team members and office visitors. The candidate must be a team player that excels in a professional office environment.
Responsibilities
- Work ~five hours per day, four days per week with flexible scheduling options
- Maintain the men's and women's lavatories, ensuring they are clean and sanitary at all times. Wipe clean and disinfect lavatory counters, sinks, and toilet seats as needed to maintain hygiene standards
- Replenish and stock toilet seat covers, paper towels, and liquid hand soap dispensers as needed to ensure supplies are always available
- Maintain the outside terrace cleanliness by wiping tables and furniture weekly and covering or uncovering patio furniture according to the weather and season
- Unload the dishwasher after the afternoon wash to ensure dishes are ready for use
- Clean surfaces such as counters, sinks, and coffee machines, and performing a weekly refrigerator clean
- Breakdown and tie cardboard boxes together with twine string for proper disposal
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up catering meals in conference rooms including packaging leftovers, discarding garbage, and wiping down tables to prepare for meetings following lunch
- Disinfect high-touch point surfaces, including door handles, light switches, common meeting areas, conference room tables and chairs, chair armrests, and reception / waiting areas, to reduce the spread of germs
- Ensure that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures
- Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture
