Job Title : General Production Worker

Job Description

As a Production Operator, you will handle finished product boxes and move them into larger boxes and onto pallets. The products include baking soda, baking powder, or corn starch, with boxes weighing 10-15 lbs. Repeatedly, you will lift these boxes, and occasionally a 50 lb box. During line changeovers, you will assist in tidying up the workspace. This role involves repetitive lifting and standing on concrete for 10-hour shifts in steel-toed shoes.

Responsibilities

• Handle and move boxes of finished products by hand.
• Lift boxes weighing 10-15 lbs continuously and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Assist in maintaining a clean work environment during line changeovers.
• Stand and move around on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Operate within a team to ensure efficient production processes.

Work Environment

Work takes place in a temperature-controlled and food-grade environment, although the presence of white powder from the products can give the facility a dusty appearance. The role is unionized, with specific dress code and PPE requirements. Shifts are from 4pm to 2 : 30am, with mandatory overtime on Fridays. Safety is a priority, with slip-resistant footwear required, and smoking is only allowed in designated areas.

This is a Contract position based out of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50 / hr.
