Role Overview
The Market Development Manager will be responsible for driving new client procurement and expanding Componere's portfolio of high-end clientele. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual with strong networking abilities and a proven record of success in sales, particularly within luxury hospitality, catering, or event industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition : Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with private clients, corporate accounts, event planners, and luxury venues.
- Sales Strategy : Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and meet sales goals.
- Relationship Building : Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry professionals to drive repeat and referral business.
- Proposal Development : Work with the culinary and events team to create customized proposals, presentations, and pitches that align with client needs and Componere's brand.
- Brand Representation : Represent Componere at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to enhance brand visibility and prestige.
- Pipeline Management : Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through CRM tools and track sales activity with regular reporting.
- Collaboration : Partner closely with operations, culinary, and event teams to ensure seamless execution from sales through service delivery.
Qualifications
Experience : 5+ years in sales, preferably in luxury catering, hospitality, events, or related industries.Proven Track Record : Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.Networking Skills : Strong connections in the luxury market (corporate, social, and private sectors) highly desirable.Communication : Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with a polished, professional demeanor.Client Focused : Ability to understand and anticipate the unique needs of discerning clients, delivering personalized solutions with exceptional attention to detail.Self-Starter : Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Technical Skills : Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; familiarity with proposal software a plus.Compensation & Benefits : Base Salary $80,000 – $95,000 DOE; performance-based commission / bonus; medical insurance, retirement plan; unlimited paid time off with management approval; opportunities for professional growth and advancement; lunch provided on office days.Additional Details
