Our team plays a critical role in protecting public health by safely delivering product samples to laboratories for testing. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting and Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This position is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day accounting functions and administering accurate, compliant payroll across multiple states. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of payroll laws and accounting principles, and thrives in a structured, collaborative environment with evolving processes and steady growth.
What You’ll Do :
- Process biweekly, multi-state payroll for hourly, salaried, and Independently contracted employees
- Maintain accurate records for pay, deductions, garnishments, and benefits
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports and year-end forms (W-2s, 1099s, etc.)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Support month-end and year-end close, ensuring complete and accurate financial reporting
- Track expenses, budgets, and cost allocations across departments
- Assist with audits, compliance documentation, and financial reporting requests
- Collaborate with HR and Operations to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required)3–5 years of accounting and payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state organizationStrong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and accounting principlesExperience in ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks, strongly preferredExcellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with other departmentsBenefits
